Our Story
Materials Store Online was founded by Kaz Dhillon to fix the part of construction nobody talks about — procurement that wastes days, inflates budgets and stalls programmes.
Meet the founder
Kaz spent over a decade in UK construction before launching Materials Store Online — running jobs, chasing merchants for quotes, and watching projects lose money on the one thing they should never lose money on: the materials themselves.
The pattern was always the same. Brilliant tradespeople and ambitious homeowners, held back by a procurement process that hadn't changed in thirty years. Three days waiting for a quote. Prices that depended on who you knew. Delivery dates that slipped without warning. Hours every week spent on the phone instead of on the tools.
MSO was built to end that. One platform, transparent pricing benchmarked against the national merchants, a curated supplier network covering the whole of the UK, and a procurement team that actually picks up the phone.
"I started MSO because the trade deserves better than a 1990s trade counter dressed up as a website. Builders should be building — not waiting on quotes."
— Kaz Dhillon, Founder & CEO
Meet the team
Rhianna leads the digital voice of Materials Store Online, shaping how we connect with builders, contractors, developers and homeowners across the UK.
From day-to-day social content and campaign planning to community management and brand storytelling, she makes sure MSO stays visible, relatable and easy to find wherever our customers spend time online.
Meet the team
Amir is a key part of the Materials Store Online sales team, supporting both trade and homeowner customers with their day-to-day enquiries. He works closely with Rhianna and the procurement team to make sure every customer receives a prompt, accurate response — whether that is a price check, a quote follow-up, or help placing an order.
From new account setups and credit applications to delivery coordination and order tracking, Amir keeps the sales process moving so customers can stay focused on their projects.
To make construction procurement faster, fairer and more transparent — for one-van trades and national contractors alike.
Pricing should be benchmarked, not negotiated. Lead times should be promised, not guessed. Support should be a phone call, not a ticket.
Builders, contractors, architects, developers, landlords and homeowners who'd rather spend their day building than chasing quotes.
We curate a supplier base across the UK, benchmark pricing against the national merchants, and put a named procurement contact behind every order. The result: the right materials, at the right price, when your programme needs them.
Construction programmes are time-sensitive. Everything we do is designed around that.
